Role summary

The Remote Freight Agent role is built for experienced freight professionals who want to grow business under the Cowtown Logistics brand without giving up the independence that makes the model attractive. You are expected to build relationships, manage freight execution closely, and create consistent monthly revenue and profit while operating with transparent splits, weekly pay, and back-office support that helps you stay focused on selling and servicing freight.

What you’ll do

The day-to-day work centers on production, communication, and staying organized as freight conditions move.

Generate revenue and profit
Build monthly production through durable customer relationships and disciplined execution.
Develop a qualified sales pipeline
Generate leads, attract new prospects, and maintain a working database of target accounts.
Coordinate freight with carriers and customers
Collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to manage scheduled pickups, delivery expectations, and shipment visibility.
Stay current on market conditions
Track transportation market trends and use that information to support pricing, communication, and planning.

Requirements

Position requirements and qualifications

We are looking for organized, experienced freight professionals who can work independently and manage customer relationships well.

Highly organized and analytical

Keep pipeline activity, shipment details, and account follow-up moving without losing discipline.

Client management experience

Build trust with shippers and carriers through clear communication and dependable follow-through.

Strong problem solving and negotiation

Handle issues quickly, negotiate effectively, and protect both service and profitability.

CRM and pipeline discipline

Maintain accurate prospect activity and customer records inside the CRM.

Transportation experience

Two or more years in transportation and logistics is preferred, and an established book of business is a major plus.
